ViTrox Pioneering the Future of Smart Manufacturing at NEPCON China 2024
April 18, 2024 | ViTroxEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
ViTrox, which aims to be the World’s Most Trusted Technology Company, is pleased to announce its participation in the NEPCON China 2024 at Booth #1H27 at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from 24-26 April 2024.
NEPCON China, a globally recognised exhibition specialising in Surface Mount Technology, serves as an excellent platform for ViTrox to showcase its array of AI-driven solutions and intelligent technologies. Included in this lineup are the V310i Advanced 3D Solder Paste Inspection Solution (SPI), award-winning solutions such as the V510i Advanced 3D Optical Inspection Solution (AOI), the V810i Advanced 3D X-Ray Inspection Solution (AXI), and the V9i Advanced Robotic Vision Solution (ARV). Furthermore, ViTrox will showcase the innovative Industry 4.0 Manufacturing Intelligence Solutions (V-ONE). This year, we are excited to debut our Integrated Industrial Embedded Solutions and the latest VisionXpert innovations!
ViTrox's V310i 3D SPI caters to both beginners and experienced operators with its intuitive programming, ensuring consistent and precise solder paste inspection. Its Ultra Smart Programming streamlines the process by eliminating manual setup. Furthermore, compliant with certified IPC-CFX-2591 standards, the V310i SPI guarantees optimal results, setting a new industry standard for solder paste inspection.
Introducing our V510i 3D AOI, equipped with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Smart Technologies. With A.I. Smart Programming, our AOI significantly reduces human dependency, achieving programming times up to 4 times faster while maintaining inspection quality, precision, and consistency. Its A.I. Assist Buyoff (VVTS) offers an A.I. coverage exceeding 80% for both common and challenging defects, with a judgment accuracy of >90%. As a result, this solution enables automated buy-off in production, leading to a 50% increase in yield and substantial reductions in operating costs.
The V810i S3 AXI Solution features an innovative ergonomic design that conserves production floor space and enhances inspection speed by up to 30% through new machine geometry and scanning techniques. Its unique imaging and reconstruction method (H-reconstruction) addresses challenging inspections of heavily shaded and non-uniformly shaded components. Equipped with A.I. integration, our AXIs can detect defects of specific joint types, enhancing inspection accuracy. Besides, our AXI achieved IPC-CFX-2591 QPL validation.
Introducing the V9i Advanced Robotic Vision (ARV) Solution, revolutionising flexible inspections for conformal coating and final assembly inspections. Equipped with a unique 6-axis COBOT design, it facilitates adjustable angle inspections of up to 90°, ensuring utmost convenience. Powered by an Advanced Smart Learning Algorithm, the V9i ARV identifies various conformal coating defects and inspects screw, cosmetic, connector, and label defects in final assembly without requiring CAD information.
V-ONE, Industry 4.0 Manufacturing Intelligence Solutions, guarantees seamless connectivity across the production line, precise visualisation of data analytics, and agile responsiveness in Machine-2-Machine (M2M) production settings. Engineered with customisable, flexible drill-down charts and dashboards to enhance production efficiency by providing insightful real-time information and A.I. predictions. By implementing V-ONE, stakeholders can optimise production through highly informative real-time analytics.
The powerful capabilities of our Integrated Industrial Embedded Solutions (ECS) ensure seamless integration and robust automation foundations for the production line and strengthen automation infrastructure with solutions such as high-speed I/O cards, Universal Light sources, and motion controllers. Additionally, our revolutionary VisionXpert Code Reading Solution is equipped with advanced Smart Code Reader technology, including decoding, deep learning, A.I. auto-tuning, and adaptive capabilities, ensuring superior result accuracy and process efficiency.

The Chemical Connection: Reducing Etch System Water Usage, Part 2
05/02/2024 | Don Ball -- Column: The Chemical ConnectionIn my last column, I reviewed some relatively simple ways to reduce water usage in existing etch systems: cutting down cooling coil water flow, adding chillers to replace plant water for cooling, lowering flow rate nozzles for rinses, etc. This month, I’ll continue with more ways to control water usage in your etcher. Most of these are not easily retrofittable to existing equipment but should be given serious consideration when new equipment is contemplated. With the right combination of add-ons, it is possible to bring the amount of water used in an etch system to almost zero.
